Description Using stock footage and video shot at the previous year’s conference, we prepared graphics and edited a video to library music.

Brief Create a video to emphasise the importance of lighting design.
Description Using a handful of new and old interviews and photos from the awards entries, a video was assembled, connected by music and recurring shapes in the still photographs.

Description Interviewed winners and edited the video to showcase their work. Designed graphics to show all the other winners.

HISTORY OF LIGHTING

Brief Produce a humorous video for the Lux Awards 2018.
Description Worked with the client and a comedy writer and came up with the idea of a spoof documentary about the history of lighting. The video includes extensive use of greenscreen and computer-generated environments, 2D graphics and treatments to simulate aged film. The host is a professional actor, everyone else is a lighting industry figure.

Brief Produce a humorous video to show the judging of lighting projects in London and products.
Description Shot video during the judging. Worked with a writer to develop the idea of a newsreel. After editing, an actor recorded the voiceover.

Description Visited dpa’s Oxfordshire offices and interviewed staff about their memories of Derek Phillips. Edited the video incorporating photography supplied by dpa and created all graphics, adhering to the consultancy’s black and white corporate style.

Brief Edit a short advertisement-style film about intelligent lighting systems.
Description The video incorporates stock footage and stills, along with computer-generated imagery specially created from supplied logos. A Spanish version was also created.
